We
combined a trip of eastern Turkey with a tour of the Caucasus: Azerbaijan,
Georgia, and Armenia. We
first flew to Adana in Turkey. Then we drove by car to Nemrut, on to Ani, and
ended in Trabzon on the Black Sea. We flew to Baku, Azerbaijan on the Caspian
Sea, drove through Azerbaijan to Georgia and from there to Armenia ending our
trip in its capital city Yerevan. Our
GPS tracks for Turkey are green, for the three Caucasus countries red. Click
on the pictures below to go to the specific websites. The thumbnail on the
index page leading to this page and the last picture on this page is Mt.
Ararat as seen from Turkey, the background is Mt. Ararat as seen from
Armenia’s capital Yerevan. |
