This single track bike tour arranged by Rim Tours provides quite different scenery from Utah. It is west of Bend, Oregon. Our GPS tracks for the different rides are displayed in yellow.

We camped at the Little Cultus Lake at an elevation of 4800 feet and either biked from camp or went by van to other places..

Even though it was August, the mornings were chilly. By the time everyone gets up, our guides (Stephan to the left and Mike to the right of Yvonne) have coffee ready to warm you up.

The bike trail goes through some wonderful old forest. Here we paused on a little log bridge.

It’s easy to find unspoiled places for a little rest.

After the bike tour we stopped and visited friends in Springfield, Oregon. With them, we did a wonderful hike in the Silver Falls State Park east of Salem. It is a” gash” in the earth with eight waterfalls dropping into it. The trails wind around the inner walls.
